Think About Your Future.

Its not a necessity for one to be doing something that they love, but it sure does help. You can spend your days working and earning money, but not taking everything from the job itself. But doing something you love, you can take away so much more. It would make things more enjoyable and make you want to go into work and do whatever it is you want to do. It would give initiative to do what you want. You want to do something that you love to do. However, the road to get to where you want to be with a career may not always be an easy one. Some may go through years of training just to do what they want, but others may not need any education whatsoever. Its just the way things work. But one has to be willing to put in the effort to get to where they want to be. It would be worth it in the long run. You don't want to live your life regretting that you never took the chance to have your dream job.

I don't know where I am going in my life quite yet. Its not that I haven't thought about it, I surely have, but my dream job hasn't been revealed to me yet. I have gone through numerous career choices from X-ray technician to an accountant, but none of those jobs are what I really want to do. So I think, as graduation is drawing nearer, I will go on to post secondary and take a little course for sterile processing, and work in the hospital for a little bit getting a background in the health care environment. I think that's where I want to be. I want to be able to help people, but not the way a doctor would. I don't even know if that makes any sense. At any rate, I would like to put myself into health care. Its something I want to do right now. That might change in a few years, but I am sure I can adjust my path accordingly to allow for that change.

Creative Writing? How About a Car With a New Paint Job.

Wow! It's been forever since I was this shiney! I must look like new! Some TLC has been long over due, and this just hits the spot! My driver came up to me, and said "Well, old chap, you are looking kind of rusted, and your paint is chipping! Time to send you in!" Took him long enough! I have been sitting outside in the rain, snow, sun, and wind every day since he bought me a couple years ago. I think if he were to sit in my place, he would look a bit rusted too! I must admit, it was very nice of him to send me in to get a new paint job! This shade of red is very becoming on an old car like me.
The entire experience was one I will remember always! It was one of the most spectacular feelings! They had covered my windows and windshield with paper and tape, and they sanded down my old paint! It was rather weird to have no color on my doors, or hood. It was very nice of them to do however, and they filled in my rust spots too! Fancy that. As soon as they had removed all my old, ugly paint, they put this weird white paint on in several layers. I guess it is supposed to make the red, shiney paint stay longer. Thats what one of the men said, I think. Well, I was excited none the less for them to start painting on the new red my owner had picked out for me. It looked fantastic as they started to build up the coats.
After they had finished with the red, they put a protector coat on, and wheeled me back out into a shop, and removed the tape and paper, letting me see how I looked with my new color. Needless to say, I loved it. They gave me a nice buffing, and got me shining like the day I was bought. It was a wonderful feeling. I didn't think I would ever look this good! I look years younger! I am so thankful that he sent me in. In the future, I will have to try and keep myself looking good. Maybe he will put me in the garage once in a while! He should. I don't think he would want to waste all the work that was put into my new look. Boy, wont that be a treat. I have never been in the garage! I wonder if its warm during the winter, and cool during the summer! My, my. I am getting excited just thinking about it! But now, I think I heard the front door close! its high time he took me out for a spin. I will finally get to show off this new color!

Inhumanity in our Societies

There has always been disputes and wars. Most of them devastating. We are inhumane and so intent on violence, we don't seem to know what we are doing anymore. We are indifferent to the violence. In "The Lottery", by Shirley Jackson, the village dwellers have the lottery every year, and each year, stone one person to death. It is something that they have been doing for years, passed on from generation to generation. It is something that they have become indifferent to. It's just a tradition now. When there is talk about giving it up, Old Man Warner objects, saying "nothing but trouble in that. Pack of young fools." Indifference is not only in the story of the lottery, it is present today, in our past, and our future. Elie Wiesel gave a speech to the president about his gratitude to America for saving him from Nazi Germany. But he brings into view the indifference that the troops and the president had towards the refugees as they were on the shores of America. They were sent away, back to the place they fled. Back to the place they would surely die. We as humans are not perfect. We as humans, however, are full of indifference and violence. It is a part of life. We cant run and hide from it, but we can try to change it.

The Watchmen Synthesis

The lyrics to "Superman's Song" describes Superman, and what he might have felt, and what he could have done, and very well explains The Watchmen, and what they might have gone through as well. Superman lost his family, and his entire planet, but he comes to earth and decides to stay and do what he can to protect the citizens. "He forced himself to carry on, forget Krypton, and keep going". The strength he possessed was enough to break into any bank in the united states, but he didn't think twice about it. Superman may have been tempted to give up, to quit, and leave everything behind, but he pushes on, "...changing clothes in dirty old phone booths till his work was through". The Watchmen relate very close to this. Rorschach has lost family, been an outcast, but he still pushes on and does whatever he needs to do to stay a masked adventurer. Nite Owl, for example, has gadgets and gizmos to break into any bank (or prison, for that matter), or turn to crime himself, but he has a sense of what is wrong, and what is right. The watchmen do not falter. Thoughts of quitting and leaving everything behind may bombard them at the worst of times, but they don't give in. They carry on with their dignity and stay until their job is finished.

Review

The Sweet Far Thing, By Libba Bray, is a wonderful book full of excitement and suspense. The Sweet Far Thing is one to keep readers on their toes. The context is outstanding, and the plot is out of this world. It would be very suitable for young readers interested in magic, realms, and conflict. It is not a short read, but takes longer than I would have expected to finish. Some parts cant help but to draw you in and make you re read them again and again, making you feel part of the story. The use of language and setting also plays a significant role in making this book a worthwhile read. All in all, this is a spectacular book, the third in a trilogy, and is one to be in the possession of any young reader.

Top Three Somethings

Top 3 movies.
Phantom of the Opera.
Aladdin.
The Princess Bride.
But why are they the top 3? Thats a good question. One I am very glad you asked. I am sure I could come up with an answer.
They are just interesting movies, in my opinion. Phantom of the Opera keeps you on the edge of your seat, all the while engaging your ears in the wondrous sounds of song. Wonderful combination, if you ask me. As for Aladdin, that one is a classic. Everyone has to love it. Its a wonderful story with action, and a tad of romance, nothing too over the top, as it is geared towards a younger audience. Although its target audience is a younger one, it is still appealing to anyone, no matter what their age.
Now, the Princess Bride. This one may just rank higher than the other two. It is am awesome love story between two lovers who are separated. Of course, in the end, they are reunited. I think that is what makes it such a great movie. It shows that anything can happen, no matter the circumstances. It gives us hope for everything in our lives, that something that great can happen to us. Maybe not along the lines of our love coming to us, but maybe more of us overcoming what is stopping us from doing what we feel we should.

Super Human Powers, plzkthx

There are many super powers available to those who want them. What will you choose? Telepathy? Super strength? I don't know about you, but I think my super power would have to be teleporting. Ya, no big deal, but I think it would get the job done. I mean think about it. Being able to go anywhere in a matter of seconds? I think that would be pretty awesome. I would be able to travel around the world, and not have to worry about how long it will take to get there, or the price it would cost if I were 'normal'. Having the ability to teleport would be the best super power, in my opinion.
